Why I run a women-only networking group. (Hint: It's not because I hate men.)

Let’s get one thing out of the way: I don’t hate men. I collaborate with them, work alongside them, and some of my biggest cheerleaders are men. But after two decades of networking, here’s what I've noticed:
In traditional networking spaces, women often show up differently. We hesitate to take up space. We downplay our achievements. We self-edit.
We listen more than we speak. We wait for an invitation to lead.
And it’s not because we’re less capable.
With only 18% of businesses in Canada owned by women, it’s because many of those rooms weren’t built with us in mind.
That’s why I created a women-only networking group: a space where we don’t have to translate, shrink, or second-guess.
Where ambition isn’t “too much.”
Where we can be bold, vulnerable, and fully seen and heard as our authentic selves.
A women-only networking group isn't about exclusion. It’s about creating a space for intentional expansion where women can grow, lead, and thrive.
The goal is not just to support each other, but to build networks so strong and confident that we show up differently everywhere else, too.
