In March, we held our first-ever Cash Mob in downtown Stratford -- and the results were amazing!

A cash mob is a community-driven event where people gather to support a local business by spending money there on a specific day. The goal is to boost small businesses and strengthen local economies through collective purchasing power.
The purpose of a cash mob is to make a BIG impact on a single business in a single day.
We invited members of Fresh Idea Collective community to vote on the businesses they wanted to see people "mob" on the last Satruday of the month. More than 70 businesses were nominated!
When we put the top five nominated businesses to a vote, the Fresh Idea Collective community voted Daisies & Doilies as the winner, and the runners-up were The Peach Basket & Co. (our Cash Mob target for April) and Got It Made (our Cash Mob target for May).
We held our first Cash Mob on Saturday, March 29th at Daisies & Doilies. More people showed up than expected, and they spent 3x what we anticipated, providing a much-needed revenue boost to shop owner Lisa Killleleagh.
"Today I was overwhelmed with support and love from this amazing community of women," Lisa shared. "I built new friendships and business relationships as well. The Cash Mob today had such a positive impact on my business in so many ways. I'm feeling so blessed to be a part of this amazing community!"
It's simple to participate in a Cash Mob -- just show up at the specified business on the specified date during business hours, and spend a minimum of $20 at that local business.
Of course, we encourage our community members to support other local businesses as well — but for the purposes of a Cash Mobs, the goal is to really give one business a significant boost on one particular day.
This Saturday, we'll be at The Peach Basket & Co. from 9 am - 6 pm.
We hope to see you there!
