Community-bulding is at the heart of the Fresh Idea Collective. So today I'm excited to share with you the 5 levels of community-building for those of you who are looking to create more impact with your own business audience.
The truth is that community-building involves multiple levels that help build brand connection, engagement, and a sense of belonging.
Those 5 levels include:
Awareness:
This is the initial stage where individuals become aware of your brand community's existence. This can involve outreach efforts, marketing, or social media engagement to attract potential members.
Engagement:
Once awareness is established, the focus shifts to engaging individuals. This can involve interactive events, discussions, or online forums where members can start to connect with your brand and share their interests.
Participation:
At this level, members actively participate in your brand community activities. This could mean contributing content, attending events, or collaborating on projects, which helps to deepen their investment in your community.
Leadership:
As community members become more involved, some may take on leadership roles. This could include serving as speakers, event volunteers, discussion faciliators or mentors, fostering a sense of responsibility and ownership within your brand community.
Sustainability:
Finally, in order to ensure the long-term health of your brand community, it's important to focus on retention, continuous engagement, and adapting to changing member needs, to enusre the community remains vibrant and relevant over time.
Each level builds on the previous one, creating a strong foundation for a thriving brand community.
